The target of the cooling tower water treatments is to preserve the efficiency and integrity of systems through corrosion inhibition, prevention of scale and sludge formation, and to control the effects of microbiological contamination.

In addition, the modern treatments must provide a reduction of management’s cost for the plant operation and this is made possible through the optimization of water consumption and the use of low quality make-up water , the reduction of energy costs and the minimisation of maintenance costs.

HEATING AND COOLING CLOSED CIRCUIT

Closed circuit are commonly present in industrial and domestic sector and the performance of processes is related to their efficiency. This type of circuit often has corrosion problems (particularly when using glycol/water blends) and, as a consequence, sludge deposit and blockages which can compromise functionality.

Acquaflex has developed safe handling technologies that allows scale and deposits removal. It is possible to select offline cleaning by using none aggressive additives or online cleaning by using “Clean Light” technologies.

“Clean Light” technologies allows iron oxide, sludge and slime removal from a closed circuit without having to stop the plant. It is also not necessary to empty, drain and rinse the circuit which avoids the need for wastewater disposal.

TRACER AND TELEMETRY EQUIPMENT

To achieve top results from conditioning treatment it is necessary to relate the dosage of additives with the chemical parameters of the water. Acquaflex has developed technologies that allows the continuous control of real concentration of chemical additives online. ‘Acquaflex Tracer TM’ is a technologies developed for this target and it is based on the use of tracking molecules and/or calculation algorithms to manage the dosage and the water chemical parameters automatically.
The control and setting revision are also possible from remote. Acquaflex makes tailored system depending on the customer needs.

STERILISER AND PASTEURISER

The use of chemicals in steriliser and pasteuriser has two target: first, to maintain plant efficiency by preventing scale, corrosion and fouling, and secondly, to ensure an excellent shiny appearance to glass and cans avoiding corrosion and white spots.
